A study conducted by Deloitte showed that Malaysia has the highest percentage of women board members in Asia at 26%, even ahead of the global average of 19.7%. The figure is higher than in Singapore (17.6%), Thailand (17.8%), and Hong Kong (13.9%). The study, which was conducted by Deloitte in collaboration with The 30% Club, also found that Malaysia has the highest percentage of women chief financial officers among the Asian nations surveyed, at 34.9%, more than double the global average of 15.7%. However, Malaysia is still 4% shy from its 30% target board representation, the study further noted.
