Malaysia's Sunview inks renewable energy deal with Huawei

Sunview Group, a renewable energy player in Malaysia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies Sdn Bhd (Huawei Malaysia) for a strategic partnership in renewable energy. The partnership is valid for 12 months, the company said in a statement. Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate in the field of renewable energy like the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) charging, microgrid, telecommunications site modernization, and energy storage solutions on a non-exclusive basis. The contractual arrangement will allow Huawei Malaysia to act as a technology provider while Sunview will play the part of a strategic fulfilment partner. Power production needs to be low carbonised to drive energy revolution for a better and greener future, according to Huawei Malaysia Vice President of Digital Power Business Group Chong Chern Peng.
