Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged the country's banks to remain competitive amidst the "three Cs" of complexity, chaos, and contradictions in postnormal times. At the myimpact SME Hub launch by Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), Anwar highlighted the crucial role of financial institutions in supporting the national economy through the MADANI Economy framework, aimed at economic transformation focusing on energy transition, food security, and digital transformation. He emphasized the importance of equitable wealth distribution and the participation of MSMEs in these key sectors. Anwar also commended Maybank for its significant contributions to Malaysia and the region, highlighting the banking sector's essential role in fostering economic growth and investor confidence.
