Macau’s Special Administrative Region (SAR) government is expected to sign the new 10-year casino operating agreements this week. The contracts will allow Las Vegas Sands, Galaxy Entertainment, Melco Resorts, Wynn Resorts, MGM Resorts, and SJM Resorts to continue running their casinos and integrated resorts in Macau and on the Cotai Strip through at least Dec. 31, 2033. All six concessionaires will disclose details on each concession’s terms to the government for the next 10 years in a press conference. The government in November granted its six incumbent casino operators new licences to operate in the world's biggest gambling hub from January next year. Macau is one of two SARs belonging to the People’s Republic of China, the only place in China where casino gambling is allowed.
