KKR & Co announced it has raised a record USD6.4bn for its Asia Pacific-focused infrastructure and energy investment fund, marking the largest pan-regional infrastructure fund for the area. Highlighting Asia’s critical role in global growth and the escalating need for infrastructure and sustainable energy, KKR emphasised the strong investor support from a diverse group including pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies. The fund aims at various sectors like renewables, digital infrastructure, and transportation. Already, over half of the fund’s capital has been allocated across 10 investments, including significant stakes in Singapore Telecommunications’ data centre business and Malaysia’s OMS Group.
