JPMorgan China Active ETFs Expansion Follows USD300m Debut

JPMorgan China active ETFs are set for further expansion after the asset manager's first actively managed exchange-traded fund in mainland China reached its RMB2bn (USD300m) fundraising limit on its opening day.
JPMorgan Asset Management China Chief Executive Desiree Wang said the company plans to introduce additional products following strong investor demand.
The fund was among three of 18 actively managed ETFs approved on October 19 that reached their fundraising caps, with the three attracting more than RMB15bn in subscriptions.
The launches represent a shift in China's ETF market, which has traditionally been dominated by passive, index-tracking investment products.
Wang said JPMorgan would use its existing technology, trading infrastructure and distribution networks to support further expansion.
The company sees opportunities for research-intensive strategies, including ETFs designed to generate income or reduce potential investment losses.
For family offices and institutional investors, the expansion could provide additional options for accessing Chinese equities through actively managed investment products.
