Jacky Ang joins Bank of Singapore as global COO

Jacky Ang, previously the Southeast Asia COO for Credit Suisse, has been appointed as the global Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bank of Singapore, effective from September 13. Ang succeeds Sonjoy Phukan, who departs after a six-year tenure, to explore other opportunities. In his new role, Ang will aid CEO Jason Moo in strategic decision-making and the execution of pivotal initiatives, becoming a part of the bank’s management committee. Furthermore, Ang will spearhead the bank’s transformation endeavours, emphasising growth in key markets like Asean, Greater China, and the Middle East. Having significantly contributed to Credit Suisse’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific during his 25-year tenure, including as the head of wealth management, Moo expressed confidence that Ang’s vast experience will greatly benefit the franchise.
