International Family Office Federation Planned as Global Wealth Sector Expands

An international family office federation is being developed to strengthen cooperation among national associations representing wealthy families and their investment management organisations.
The Paris-based International Federation of Family Office has secured support from family office associations in Belgium, France, Lithuania and Canada.
The organisation is also pursuing relationships with industry groups in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Singapore.
The initiative comes as the global family office industry continues to expand.
According to Deloitte, the number of single-family offices worldwide is projected to reach approximately 10,700 by 2030, compared with just over 8,000 in 2024.
Federation President Frederick Crot said the organisation aims to encourage cooperation and knowledge-sharing among wealthy families.
Areas of focus include succession planning, intergenerational wealth transfers, philanthropy, investment opportunities and industry practices.
The proposed federation could provide family offices with additional opportunities to exchange expertise and strengthen international relationships as the sector becomes increasingly sophisticated.
