Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia and the Qatar Investment Authority will jointly manage a USD4bn investment fund to support Indonesia’s economic development. Each side will contribute USD2bn, targeting sectors such as downstream industries, healthcare, renewable energy, and technology. The agreement was finalised during President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Qatar on April 13. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said the partnership reflects growing global confidence in Indonesia’s institutional investment capacity. The new fund aims to accelerate development through strategic and sustainable projects. Danantara, a newly formed entity under the Indonesian president’s office, is responsible for managing state investments and optimising national assets. The fund is expected to play a central role in Indonesia’s long-term economic transformation and infrastructure expansion.
