HSBC conference spotlights Taiwan’s investment appeal

HSBC Taiwan hosted the 2025 HSBC Taiwan Conference in Taipei on May 19–20, gathering nearly 60 listed companies and over 400 institutional investors and corporate clients to explore Taiwan’s capital market. The event featured senior HSBC leaders including Jo Miyake and Ken Hon, who highlighted the city’s strategic role in global supply chains. CEO Adam Chen emphasised Taiwan’s strengths in AI, ETFs, and trade, noting rising investor interest in AI-driven innovation and the maturing ETF market. Discussions included generative AI applications, humanoid robots, and adapting to global regulatory standards. With 500 meetings and eight panels, the forum underscored Taiwan’s growing global competitiveness. HSBC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the market’s development and positioning Taiwan as Asia’s future asset management hub.
