Hong Kong’s Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) is set to start transferring account information onto its digital platform, eMPF, in Q2 2024, according to chairwoman Ayesha MacPherson Lau. The development of the eMPF platform software is nearing completion, and the system's 20+ essential functions have been prepared. Originally intended for completion last year, the project faced delays due to software issues with the contractor, PCCW (0008). The MPFA and the eMPF Platform company are ensuring these challenges are addressed. Five first-batch MPF trustees, including YF Life Trustees and Bank of Communications Trustee, will join the platform once testing is completed.
