The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will establish a new office in Singapore to enhance collaboration in science, health, and philanthropy across Southeast Asia. Speaking at a Temasek Trust conference, Bill Gates said the move aims to leverage local research and deepen ties with the region’s philanthropic and scientific communities. The foundation confirmed it is finalising legal and regulatory processes for its Singapore presence, with staffing and operational plans to be disclosed later. The Singapore office is part of the foundation’s broader strategy to strengthen partnerships with governments and technical stakeholders in Asia, aligning with its global health and development mission. The new hub is expected to reinforce Singapore’s role as a regional leader in innovation and philanthropic collaboration.
