EuroCham's latest Business Climate Index (BCI) report showed that confidence of European firms in Vietnam has reached the highest level since the fourth COVID-19 outbreak in April last year. Firms viewed the current new normal and less severe Omicron variant as manageable, according to the report. This has allowed businesses to resume faster after a gloomy 2021, resulting in an increasing BCI in Q1 this year. With more EuroCham members optimistic about the country's business outlook, the BCI is expected to sustain the improving trend in Q2. The BCI is a regular barometer of the business sentiment among European companies operating in Vietnam.
