Citi has named Joy Cheng, a seasoned professional with over 30 years at the bank, as the new head of its Commercial Bank (CCB) in Hong Kong. Cheng succeeds Anson Kwok, who retired at the start of the year, and will report to both Gunjan Kalra, head of CCB for Asia North, Australia & Asia South clusters, and Aveline San, CEO of Citi Hong Kong and Macau. Having started her career at Citi and recently serving as head of corporate banking in Hong Kong, Cheng brings extensive experience, including leadership roles in financial institutions and multinational coverage. Her appointment is seen as a key step in furthering Citi's market share and success in Hong Kong, one of CCB's largest global markets, especially across sectors like healthcare, technology, and retail.
