The National Bureau of Statistics in China has reported economic growth of 8.1% to CNY114.37tr in 2021, year-on-year, with an average two-year growth of 5.1%, according to its preliminary estimation. The bureau said the per capita gross domestic product in 2021 was CNY80,976; up by 8% over the previous year and the gross national income increased by 7.9% to CNY113.4tr. The surveyed urban unemployment rate at the year-end was 5.1% and the registered urban unemployment rate was 3.96%. The bureau further said that consumer prices in 2021 went up by 0.9% over the previous year while the producer prices for industrial products went up by 8.1%.
