With a lot of liquidity in the Malaysian market chasing new offerings, the chief of the country’s stock exchange operator expressed confidence that the pipeline for initial public offerings (IPOs) will likely remain strong for the rest of the year. Bursa Malaysia CEO Muhamad Umar Swift said the market support for IPOs this year has been very good. In the first three months of this year, Malaysia topped its Southeast Asian peers in IPO proceeds raised, with five arms raising USD362m via first-time share shares.
