BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Maya Kamdani as the new President Director of its Indonesia operations, replacing Priyo Santoso. Kamdani, with over 25 years of experience in the financial and investment management sectors in Indonesia and the US, joined the firm in 2008. Mike Nikou, CEO of BNP Paribas Asset Management APAC, praised Kamdani’s in-depth industry knowledge and expressed confidence in her leadership to enhance customer services and contribute to Indonesia’s investment industry. He also acknowledged Priyo Santoso’s significant role in developing the company’s sustainability strategy. Additionally, in November 2023, BNP Paribas Asset Management named Peggy Lee, formerly of Manulife Investment Management, as the new CEO and Chief Marketing Officer APAC for Hong Kong, succeeding Guillaume Wehry.
