BlackRock’s Chinese fund management subsidiary has announced key personnel changes to enhance its investment team. Lu Wenjie is now the China Investment Strategist, stepping down from his roles as vice general manager and chief investment officer. Liu Xin has been appointed as the chief fixed-income investment officer, and Shen Yufei as the chief equity asset investment officer, joining Wang Xiaojing, who oversees multi-assets and quantitative investments. These appointments come as China’s economic slowdown and capital market volatility prompt frequent staff adjustments within fund companies. Recently, BlackRock also appointed Fan Hua as chairman and announced a GM change from Zhang Chi to Chen Jian, underscoring its commitment to the Chinese market despite current challenges.
