Global asset manager BlackRock has named Geir Espeskog as its new Southeast Asia wealth business head. In a press statement, BlackRock said Espeskog is based in Singapore, succeeding and reporting to Guilherme Lima, who was named head of wealth for the Asia Pacific region in October last year. Espeskog has worked at BlackRock since 2010 and was most recently its co-head of sustainable investing (BSI) for APAC, building a 12-person team over 16 months in Japan, Australia, Greater China, and Southeast Asia. BlackRock has also appointed Elaine Wu as managing director, APAC head of research for BSI. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to Emily Woodland, who will now assume full leadership of BSI APAC.
