Asset manager Amundi names new Asia CEO


Amundi, the USD2tr global asset manager, has announced the appointment of Eddy Wong as CEO of Asia and a member of the firm's executive committee. In his role, Wong leads the firm's operations in North and South Asia, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, along with its joint ventures in mainland China. Amundi has a joint venture with BOC Wealth Management to design and offer wealth management products primarily to Chinese retail investors. Prior to Amundi, Wong was CEO of JPMorgan Asset Management China, driving the unification of the China business and overseeing its business strategy across different functions. Before that, Eddy was the Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Asset Management Taiwan and Head of Funds Business in Hong Kong and China.
