More than 80% of CFOs in Asia expect global economic conditions to worsen in the coming months, the highest level of pessimism among all regions, according to Teneo’s Global CFO and Investor Outlook Survey.
Based on responses from 132 public company CFOs and 200 institutional investors, the survey revealed that 83% of Asia-based CFOs foresee a downturn in H2 2025. In contrast, 57% of CFOs globally predict a decline, while in the US, 53% expect conditions to improve.
Despite the bleak outlook, many Asian CFOs remain focused on international expansion strategies, said Christian Buss, Teneo’s senior managing director, in comments to The Business Times.
