Asia Fintech Funding Reaches USD2.3bn Despite Slower Mega-Round Activity

Asia fintech funding reached USD2.3bn across 116 transactions during the second quarter of 2026, increasing from USD1.7bn in the previous quarter, according to CB Insights.
However, the region continued to trail the United States and Europe in large-scale fintech investment rounds.
Asian companies attracted USD1.5bn across five mega-rounds, representing approximately 22% of the USD6.9bn raised across four major regions.
The United States led with USD2.9bn across 12 transactions, followed by Europe with USD1.6bn from eight deals.
Latin America secured USD900m through two transactions.
Asia's average mega-round size reached approximately USD300m, compared with USD242m in the United States and USD200m in Europe.
Despite the quarterly increase in total funding, Asia's share of global fintech deal volume remained at 19%.
For family offices and venture capital investors, the figures suggest continued opportunities in Asian financial technology businesses, although major funding rounds remain concentrated in relatively few companies.
