Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of the ASEAN-Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), emphasised the need for ASEAN member countries to collaborate to tap into the region’s estimated investment potential of USD20tr by 2045. Speaking at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS), he highlighted the vast opportunities within ASEAN. This year’s ASEAN-BAC series, themed “ASEAN Centrality: Innovating to Greater Inclusivity”, focuses on fostering a fast-growing, inclusive, and sustainable economic ASEAN region. Rasjid praised ASEAN’s resilience in the face of geopolitical challenges and emphasised the importance of a collective growth mindset. He has been touring ASEAN countries, gathering insights to shape policy recommendations. These have been presented to President Joko Widodo, who champions a unified ASEAN with public and private sectors collaborating closely.
