Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc announced that his country will always open its doors to investors based in the 17 APEC member economies. The president said Vietnam is an attractive investment destination globally with nearly 35,000 active FDI projects. This, he said, is a very good opportunity for APEC investors to come to the country to invest and cooperate for mutual benefit and development. Vietnam was among the top 20 countries globally in FDI attraction, according to a report released by the United Nations in July 2021. The Vietnamese president made the speech at the third meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in Quang Ninh Province.
