Ant Group’s ‘Alipay+-in-China’ Program (A+China Program) has added seven new e-wallets and payment apps from across Asia, allowing users of these services a seamless mobile payment experience within Alipay’s extensive merchant network in mainland China. These additions, including mPay and OCBC, bring the total number of international e-wallets in the program to ten, reaching over 175 million people in Southeast and East Asia. The A+China Program, supported by the People’s Bank of China and NetsUnion Clearing Corporation, aims to create an inclusive cross-border consumption environment in China. This development is set to benefit both travellers and small businesses and reflects the rapid growth of the mobile payment market in Asia.
