In a recent strategic move, Allianz has appointed Christian Sandric as the Commercial Managing Director Asia, effective from 1 September 2023. This comes as part of Allianz's 'Integrated Commercial' strategy to enhance services across the commercial segment. Sandric, currently President & CEO of AIG Singapore, will replace Mark Mitchell and lead Allianz's growth drive in Asia. Key markets include China, India, Japan, Singapore, and more. Joachim Mueller, CEO of AGCS and leader of Allianz Commercial, welcomed Sandric, citing his extensive experience and network as crucial assets for their Asian expansion. This appointment comes after Allianz's announcement in March to serve the global commercial insurance segment as a unified entity, Allianz Commercial, merging its AGCS business with its insurance businesses operating in mid-sized country-based accounts.
