Artificial intelligence (AI) job openings in Taiwan have exceeded 26,000, with an anticipated wage increase of around 10% for AI professionals, says online 104 Job Bank. Most of these opportunities stem from electronics information, software, and semiconductor sectors. The bank noted that about 60% of AI-related jobs originated from these high-tech sectors, 20% from traditional manufacturing, and 10% from services. Sought-after skills include proficiency in AI applications such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and the image-generation tool Midjourney. Neil Li, 104 Job Bank's chief data officer, predicted AI experts could expect a salary increase of at least 10% compared to their previous roles. The surge in AI-related roles and wages reflects the booming interest in AI technologies, particularly driven by industry giants Nvidia Corp and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
