Advisory Board Summit Explores AI, Governance, and Family Office Succession

Family office governance and business succession are among the expanding priorities of the Advisory Board Centre as organisations navigate artificial intelligence, geopolitical uncertainty, and changing global markets.
The organisation held its Megatrends Summit 2026 in Melbourne on October 9, bringing together advisers to examine how technological disruption and economic uncertainty are reshaping business strategy and governance.
Discussions focused on the role of advisory boards in helping organisations reassess their strategies, strengthen collaboration, review market positioning, and adapt business models.
The programme included keynote presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and findings from the centre’s Rates & Engagement Report 2026–2028.
The Advisory Board Centre is also expanding its engagement with family offices and business founders, including work involving succession planning.
With a global network of approximately 800 advisers, the organisation is positioning advisory boards as a resource for businesses and wealthy families navigating increasingly complex strategic and generational challenges.
