The Manila-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD300,000 technical assistance grant from its Technical Assistance Fund. This grant is aimed at promoting financial integration in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, and Laos. The initiative focuses on bolstering the capacity of central banks and financial regulators in these nations through collaborative knowledge-sharing with ASEAN central banks and Japan’s Financial Service Agency. It seeks to enhance cooperation and coordination within Southeast Asia, strengthening the region’s financial integration. This assistance is dedicated to developing and implementing new capacity-building programmes on financial development and integration.
