3,000 high-net-worths to leave Hong Kong this year

At least 3,000 high-net-worth individuals are expected to leave Hong Kong by the end of this year, according to immigration advisor Henley and Partners. The number, however, is lower than the departures in 2019, according to the report. Hong Kong joins the top 10 destinations and regions where the highest net outflows of HNWIs are predicted. The report found Russia is expected to suffer the biggest emigration of millionaires, with net outflows of 15,000 by the year-end following the Russian-Ukraine conflict. China is ranked second to see outflows of rich people, with about 10,000 expected to leave in 2022.
