Vietnam's HCM City sees rise in MICE demand

Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City is starting to see a rise in the demand for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) business and the tourist sector from both local and foreign customers. The increasing MICE demand comes after a long lull due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel agency Saigontourist has already organised MICE tours for 14,000 people since the start of this year. Vietravel has also served 300 MICE delegations with over 20,000 people. The city Department of Tourism has organised training courses for tour guides, restaurants and hotels on food safety and hygiene and signed pacts with other sectors to better serve tourists.
