Vietnamese companies are ahead of the global average in adopting strategic approaches to digitising customer experience, ranking second only to Singapore in a DBS study. The study found 63% of Vietnamese firms are satisfied with how digital transformation impacted their profitability. However, talent gaps and data privacy issues were cited as significant obstacles. The Vietnamese government's ambitious plan to become a developed, high-income nation by 2050, focusing on a digital, green, and circular economy, is expected to shape the strategic priorities of the country's businesses. The nation's digital economy grew 28% yoy to USD23bn in 2022, and it is predicted to become Southeast Asia's fastest-growing digital economy between 2022 and 2025.
