Thai agencies mull legal moves to protect Zipmex investors

According to a Bangkok Post report, the country's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) met with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to discuss legal measures to protect investors facing huge risks of losses from Zipmex Thailand's decision to halt withdrawals on its platform. The digital asset exchange announced last week it paused withdrawals on its platform until further notice due to what it described as “combination of circumstances” beyond its control. The SEC revealed that it has received a number of complaints from people affected by the suspension and has issued a letter requesting Zipmex Thailand establish a system to receive and manage complaints from customers.
