Percentage of women CEOs in Singapore highest globally

About 13.1% of CEO roles in Singapore were held by women in 2021, according to a new Deloitte report. The percentage was the highest globally, and was up from just 9.9% in 2018 based on a dataset covering 10,493 companies in 51 countries. In Singapore, 119 women were on boards among the 101 companies analysed. Next to Singapore, Thailand also performed well last year among Southeast Asian countries, with 11.6%, taking the third spot globally. Overall, Southeast Asian companies have collectively fared better with an average of 17.1% of women on board seats compared with 14.3% in 2018. This outperforms the Asia average of 11.7% and nears the global average of 19.7%.
