Two new executives have joined payments major Airwallex to further boost the company's expansion plans in 2023. Justin Yek was recently appointed as the Head of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development. He is joined by Jon Stona, who assumes the role of Global Head of Marketing. Both will report to Airwallex CEO and co-founder Jack Zhang. Zhang said the two executives will play a crucial role as he tries to build a connected and global organisation that is critical to new opportunities for Airwallex to grow and expand its operations. Yek has had over 10 years of experience in banking, finance, and startups including work for Morgan Stanley and Citi. Stona, on the other hand, used to perform senior marketing roles at Stripe, Google, and Nike.
