A survey found that half of listed companies in Vietnam have not met stock market information disclosure requirements. The survey, conducted between May 2021 and April 2022 by Vietstock, the Viet Nam Association of Financial Executives, and FILI Magazine, found that only 52% of the 385 listed companies on the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh stock exchanges have met all information disclosure requirements. According to the organisers, however, the percentage of listed companies meeting information disclosure standards has risen since 2011 from only 3% to 52%. In 2021 and 2022 the number exceeded 50%, showing that businesses are increasingly paying more attention to compliance, they said.
