MUFG Bank names St John as new APAC head

MUFG Bank, Japan’s largest bank, has announced the appointment of Angus St John as its Asia-Pacific head of financial sponsor coverage, a newly-created role based in Australia. The appointment is effectively immediately, with St John taking charge of building the bank’s regional sponsor coverage franchise. St John will focus on clients such as private equity firms and sovereign funds, as well as asset management entities and other investor groups, according to the announcement. He was Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s managing director for investor client management before MUFG.
