Experts said the modern e-wallet market in Vietnam is booming with 90% of the market using three wallets: Momo, Moca and ZaloPay. There are 40 electronic wallets in operation in the country. Robocash Group estimates that by July 2024, the e-wallet market will have 50 million active users, 100 million by May 2026, and 150 million by July 2030. Robocash analysts observed that over the past four years, the number of active users has increased by an impressive 330%, from 12.3 million to 41.3 million. About 57% of the country’s adult population actively uses e-wallets, in contrast to just 14% at the end of 2018, which is considered significant penetration.
