Malaysia expects financial recovery

The Malaysian government is focusing on financial recovery to ensure that its people can return to normalcy. Among the strategies that the country’s Ministry of Finance laid out to achieve financial recovery are the creation of new jobs, bringing in more investments, and aiding businesses that suffered during the pandemic. The strategy was laid out through two main pillars - JaminKerja and SemarakNiaga - in Budget 2022, according to Finance minister Zafrul Abdul Aziz. He expressed confidence that Malaysia can recover according to plans and will be able to keep investors coming. Zafrul was responding to former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement on the country’s financial situation.
