The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is gearing up to host the second "Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit" from November 6-8, expecting a larger turnout than its inaugural event last year. The summit is anticipated to welcome around 300 global bankers, marking a 20% increase from the previous year, with top executive attendance likely doubling to approximately 90. Prominent industry figures, including Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, and UBS Chairman Colm Kelleher, are slated to speak. This year's theme, "Living with Complexity", reflects on the challenges and opportunities financial institutions face in the current economic environment. As the HKMA celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023, a special session is planned in honour of the central bank's milestone.
