Hong Kong-based independent investment firm Chartwell Capital has launched the Chartwell Asia Pacific Income Fund, targeting professional investors. Registered in Hong Kong as a private open-ended fund company (OFC), the fund is set to invest in high-yielding stocks listed in the Asia-Pacific region, with a specific emphasis on the Hong Kong market and family-controlled businesses. Ronald Chan, the firm's founder and CIO, highlighted the firm's deep connections within Hong Kong’s business circles and insights into the local business landscape, stating that these factors give Chartwell an edge in discovering local investment opportunities that are insulated from global uncertainties. Chan also emphasised the firm’s commitment to socially responsible investment and noted that their active engagement approach aims to create value for shareholders and stakeholders alike, while earning sustainable and consistent dividends.
