French asset manager Amundi has announced the appointment of Katsumi Fujikawa, CFA, as the country head of Japan, also making him a member of the executive committee. Fujikawa joined Amundi Japan in August 2021 as executive vice-president and head of retail business, where he managed the distribution and marketing of retail funds. His extensive experience includes various roles at BlackRock Japan, including chief of staff to the country head, and prior positions at UBS Securities in Japan. Fujikawa also led the iShares ETF sales and marketing, capital markets, and product development in Japan from 2008 to 2012. His appointment comes with a rich background in equity sales and capital markets, enhancing Amundi's leadership team in the region.
